About the Scheme
The HKU Institute for Advanced Dentistry – Multi-Specialty Clinic (IAD-MSC) provides specialty dental care to you and your dependents at discounted rates subsidised by the University.
About IAD-MSC
The HKU Institute for Advanced Dentistry – Multi-Specialty Clinic (IAD-MSC) is a multi-specialty dental practice under the Faculty of Dentistry. Located at Exit B1 of the HKU MTR station, our clinic provides advanced dental care delivered by Resident Dentists and Clinical Faculties from eight dental specialties:
- Endodontics
- Implant Dentistry
- Oral & Maxillofacial Radiology
- Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery
- Orthodontics
- Paediatric Dentistry
- Periodontology
- Prosthodontics
Services & Fees
The following discounts apply to eligible HKU students and staff members:
- 17% discount on all specialty dental care services
- Scaling and polishing service by dental hygienist at a discount rate (see table below)
- One free basic dental check-up for children aged 18 and below of HKU staff (per academic year)

* These offers cannot be used in conjunction with other discounts.
Eligibility
- HKU Students
- Staff eligible for primary care at the UHS, and their immediate family members
- Retirees eligible for primary care at the UHS, and their immediate family members
- Former staff on fixed-term contracts who have reached the age of 60, have served the University for 10 or more consecutive years, and their immediate family members
* Immediate family members include spouses and children aged 21 or below.
* Only new treatment plans that sign on or after 2 July 2025 will be eligible for the discount.
* If a treatment plan is signed before a student graduates or a staff member leaves the University, the discount will still apply to the entire course of treatment. Any treatment plans that begin or are modified after leaving the University will not be eligible.

* Please bring a copy of your HKU student card, staff card, or retirement documents when checking in at the reception on the day of your appointment. If you do not have a staff card, please provide a screenshot of your benefits enrolment page from the HKU Portal, indicating your eligibility for Primary Care at UHS. * If there is any inconsistency between the English and Chinese versions, the English version shall prevail.
* In case of any dispute, the decision of IAD-MSC shall be final.
