Medical benefits finder

1. Go to HKU Portal (https://staffportal.hku.hk/), expand the contextual menu, and click “Personnel File”.

2. Scroll to the end and click “Employment Information”

3. Your personnel file will list your terms of appointment. Below are some examples:

For staff members on tenure terms:

In this example, the appointee’s engagement mode is full-time, employment type is tenure and the TOS/COS/Edition is ToS I (Terms of Service I).

For staff members on fixed terms:

In this example, the appointee’s engagement mode is full-time, employment type is fixed and the Band/Sub-group is I2 (Band I).

For staff members on temporary terms:

In this example, the appointee’s engagement mode is full-time, employment type is temporary and the TOS/COS/Edition is ToS 0 (Terms of Service 0).

4. Your employment information will inform you of your appointment terms. In general, the HKU Portal also lists your medical benefits. Repeat Steps 1 and 2, but select “Benefits” this time.

5. Click ‘Details’ of your corresponding job.

6. Your medical benefits are listed here. You may refer to the last page of the Regulations for the benefits schedule.
